Maui [Day 11]

Day 11-- Today we got up not knowing what we were doing.  But we ended up at the beach, then at the pool, and then at another hotel's restaurant... hahahahaha! It was pretty fun, there was some live entertainment--the weren't too good.  Got some shaved ice [big thing down here] then back to the condo. Pretty exciting, huh!?

Maui [day 10]

Day 10--  This morning we had to jump out of bed. Em and I were the last ones up, and everyone else was almost ready to go.  Do we jumped up threw on our swim suites, and then grabbed our sunglasses.  We drove about an hour or so to Dragon's Teeth in Kapalua, then headed over to the Honalula Bay and snorkeled. There was some awesome fish.  Including the Hawaii national fish [I'll get back to you on how to spell the thing] and some fish that became very popular because of a movie of the sea! And yes, I mean Finding Nemo. Not some other sea movie.  There were some giant fish too. It was pretty awesome.  After we were tired out cause of snorkeling, we drove around the cliffs and found some people that sell really delicious banana bread. =] Then headed back to the condo where we all have just been sitting around watching tv, playing on ipods, and sleeping. Ahhhh, nice day. =]

Maui [days 8 & 9]

Day 8-- Getting up at the normal time, but everyone is running around making sure they have on tennis shoes, long enough shorts, t-shirts, and their hair done in a way that they can wear a helmet.  Why? Because we went ZIPLINING! It was freaking awesome! It started at ten in the morning, getting all the gear on [harness & helmet], then a 15 minute bus ride up the mountain and to the suspension bridge, crossed that, picture stop, and then hike about 10 minutes uphill the entire time.  And the first line was just a simple  The second was a bit longer, and the third one was the best! It was the longest, it was very fast, and it had the best view!  In total we had 5 ziplines, 2 15 minute bus rides, bout a mile hike, giant swing,  & suspension bridge. It was an awesome day!  But man were we tired. =]

Day 9-- Just a normal day, getting up, beach, pool, grilled out, and saw some friends that live a couple of condos down.

Maui [day 6 & 7]

Day 6-  Just a normal day of waking up and spending all day at the pool. Didn't really do much. =]

Day 7-  Woke up, went to the farmers market. That was pretty cool.  Then went to the Iao Needle.  Not bad,  but we did have to climb quite a bit of stairs.  After that mini photoshoot, we headed back to the condo for lunch, changed, and took a walk down a couple of beaches.  Past the Marriott, and the Four Seasons, and by a lot of AWESOME houses.  But then we had to walk back.....=/ When we got back to the condo, we hung out until everyone was ready, then headed out to Makawow. We ate at an Italian place, and it was alright. Not bad. Turns out we had missed the UpCountry Fair, so we decided to head back.  The ride back was kind of story time for Perry. =] I love hearing stories. =] After we parked, Em, Liv, and I walked down the road for ice cream.  It was gooooooooood. =] Now we are all back at the condo, some of us alseep, and the rest of us getting there.  GOOD NIGHT!

Maui [day 5]

After getting up at 630 every morning, you get kinda tired, but that never stops us from getting lathered up and heading out to the beach.  This time we took boogie board...that was interesting...=]  By noon, I was tired, so Em and I went up to the pool. While she read her book, I passed out in the chair next to her.  We didn't stay long though.  After bout 2 hours, we headed up to the room so we could shower and get changed.  After everyone was ready, we headed down to Lahaina.  Which would be the classic town you would want to see.  There was an awesome restaurant that we went to, Lahaina something something.... but it will forever be known as BJ's deep dish pizza.  Front st. has the boardwalks, shops [cheap-expensive], and some pretty cool restaurants that look out the the sea.  Its amazing during the day, but when the sun drops and everyone walks away from the setting sun, it gets amazing.  Everything is lit up, there is live music playing at every restaurant, and there is the ocean breeze coming up over the walls.  I think my favorite part, of Maui in general, is the fact that everything is open. There aren't any doors to open and walk through, there really isn't even windows. The birds just fly into the restaurants and walk around the floor, and the breeze just rolls in.  And its nice.  ANYWHOZER! When we were done in Lahaina, we drove home and just passed out. =]

Maui [days 1-4]

Day 1-  We arrived around 2, and then got to spend the rest of the day driving around and seeing everything. It's pretty awesome here.  I'm so glad I get to be here for the next 2 and a half weeks! We went to Fred's last night. It wasn't too bad.  It's a cute 1 floor restaurant that looks out to the beach. Plus it's yummy. =]

Day 2-  Got up pretty early, but it was worth it.  We ended down at the beach by 8am, then we ended up at the pool too. Got a little pink, but nothing too bad. After getting ready and driving around, we went to L&L Hawaiian BBQ, and it good too.

Day 3-  Got up and was at the beach by 7.  Then Emily and I walked down to an area with little stores and got some Local Boyz Shaved Ice.  YUMMMMMM! It's really good! Can't wait to go back there! We took our time getting back, stopping at a couple of stores....=]  We grilled out with a couple that lives a few condos down. They were awesome!

Day 4-  Today we got up and headed to a couple of other towns.  We ended up at Charlie's for breakfast, and as it turns out, it is where Willie Nelson spends a lot of his time while he lives in his home that is located near by.  But unfortunately we didn't see him.  We did end up going to the pool and spending a couple of hours there, but it was kinda cloudy most of the time.  We spend a lot of time exploring around.  Wr drove as far up the mountain we could, along with stopping here and there for pictures. =] It was a lot of fun! We accidentally found this one house that was awesome!! It was up on a hill, surrounded by different kinds of trees, and was HUGE! We also spend the next hour discussing how it belonged too. Conclusion?---BALDWINS. =]We ate supper at Da Kitchen.  It was awsome!  But I do recommend sharing your dish with someone you are with, cause otherwise you will be stuffed. We drove down to the lava fields and say the crater. And by the way... IT IS ACTIVE. NOT DORMANT!  But they aren't expecting anything to happen for a while.  Then we found a black sand beach, and it had some awesome cliffs and houses near by. =]
